Today my Mom would be 79 years young. Happy Birthday LoLo. I have been honoring my mom in small ways like when I wear a shirt that once belonged to her, I say thank you Mom. I honor her in larger ways as well. I constructed this memorial website so her ‘people’ could still be connected and maybe learn a thing or two about LoLo; the before years. At her service in January 2023 I overheard her friend say “who’s going to send me a birthday card now that she’s gone?” and an idea was born. I then downloaded her contact list and began sending cards to most of her friends and extended family. I have had quite a few come back undeliverable so if cousin Tammy in Florida or Corinna Decker is reading this, hit me up! Many of you have written back and I want to sincerely thank you for the smiles and tears. Last week I received a birthday card and gift from Laurie’s good friend Mary Lou. Very thoughtful and appreciated. I will wear the earrings with honor. Thank you!
I think my mom would appreciate these gestures and I am hopeful y’all do too. So, let’s all wish LoLo a very happy birthday and maybe if we’re loud enough, she’ll hear us.
Happy heavenly birthday Laurie Coleman. ❤️ To honor you I am playing 9 holes this morning. It should be noted Laurie and I took several group golf lessons. However, our participation and thus our progress was greatly hindered due to Laurie’s reaction to floridas heat n humidity. She had the country club golf bag and fancy clubs but her fainting at lesson didn’t help our game or inspire confidence from the instructor. Instead we enjoyed hearing Ron’s score. ⛳️.
