"Kinnelon Chix" is the term Laurie coined for our group of 4 friends. Shortly after she and Ron moved to Kinnelon, NJ, she volunteered to help with a celebration of the local library's anniversary in order to meet new friends. Happily, Nancy, Jody and I were also on the committee and we quickly became good friends. Laurie was always the spark, the one who infused things with fun and humor. And we helped each other through difficult times, too (when I was going through chemo for breast cancer, my fellow "Kinnelon Chix" would take turns accompanying me to my treatments!) After she and Ron moved to Florida, we visited back and forth. It is hard to grasp that there won't be any more visits, any more of Laurie's infectious smile and humor.
